Are you having trouble body surfing back to your board and don't want to take a lesson to learn how? Unscrew one side of your board's handle, slide a kid's water wing on, fasten and then inflate. The wing will act like a sail and make the board go do

Before learning how to "send the kite" for a big jump, learn how to take off by "popping" off the water. More importantly, learn to land downwind with your back foot first and then edge to carve upwind and regain tension on your lines.

We did jump higher and spin more "back in the day" because we rode a kite size larger, with smaller boards (110-127cm), larger fins (2-4") and longer lines (27m).

Yes, a board with a lot of rocker will go slower because it creates drag. But, a board with no rocker will also be slow.
