Stevedore's Knot:
Use this knot at the end of your flying lines. It creates a ball with a lot of girth, to attach your lark's head knot to. Itis easier to untie and stronger than the figure 8. However, it shortens the line's length a few inches. |
Figure 8 Knot:
It can reduce the rated line strength by nearly 50%. This is not too big of a problem if your spectra line has sheathing around it. |

This knot is often used to connect your de-power strap to your trim loop (chicken loop) line.
