Like walking into strong wind, kite boarding upwind is a physical activity. You are actively leveraging your weight against your board and the pull of your kite, coercing them and you higher into the wind. It takes effort.
To prolong the life of your kite deflate the leading edge, roll it up and place it out of the wind and into the shade during your break.
